B. Marie Belle

B. Marie Belle is a 22 year old college student who grew up in San Francisco, California. Having a Native American mother and a Black father, diversity has always been a big part of her life. This eventually led to her love of reading and writing diverse characters. As a young girl, she found her love of books through her aunt, who would walk her and her siblings two miles to the library every day after school to read and pick out a book to bring home.

 

Despite going to school in Hawaii for nursing, writing has always been a passion of hers. It all started in cheap spiral bound notebooks, then transferred over to school journals, before it finally evolved itself over onto a writing website called Wattpad. After winning a writing reward for the top of her class in grade school around this time that she discovered it, she knew that she had a talent for storytelling. Her first book was based on how different it was to be a girl of a mixed race, and after seeing how many people had enjoyed her work, she went on to create more. She's finished a few stories on Wattpad so far, and continues to write Historical Fiction pieces based on the experiences of young Black girls. Young Adult and Adult fiction is her passion, and she continues to strive to improve her writing. On Wattpad, she has achieved the honorable status of being a Wattpad Star and uses these opportunities to continue to strive for more until she is a published author.
